I would like to find a computer shop in the Hollywood, FL area that can replace the hard drive in my fiancee's iBook G4. It's way too complicated for me to do it myself so DIY is not an option. Apple's "genius bar" refuses to do it so I guess we need to find a local computer tech shop. Any recommendations on a skilled and trustworthy place?

My monitor is alternately displaying a message "OSD Lockout" (2 x 5 inch box in the middle of the screen) and then displays the actual OSD (on screen display). I cannot bring the OSD up, I can't move the selector when the OSD pops up on its own, I can't get the messages to stop. It will loop endlessly. Any ideas? [more inside]

BSODFilter: I tried to install a RAM upgrade in my girlfriend's Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop, and got nothing on screen after powerup. So I replaced the old DIMM, and got the BSOD -- the file that was missing was a driver for the Intel video adapter. Long story short, it's still not working. [more inside]

I recently purchased a 250 GB Western Digital Caviar SE hard drive. It's a internal hd and I foolishly thought it would be ok sitting on my desk hooked up through a ide-usb cable. It also has a power cable which runs down the side of my desk. Well long story short it fell off of my desk due to someone snagging the power cable and now my computer will not recognize it. I have a lot of important data on it which I would really like to recover. Any ideas?

I have a Toshiba e310, that mysteriously stopped starting up when I turned it on. It's not completely dead, it comes up with the default bootscreen and then just sits there. Windows XP detects an unknown device, and that's it. I've tried doing a hard reset, soft reset, and letting the battery drain. Is there any use for it? Does anyone know of a way to recover it? I dropped my PB this morning (truth be told, I slipped down a couple stairs and landed hard), this time really badly. The top aluminum panel has a corner bent (about 2 degrees from about 2 inches in) and the bottom case is so badly bent and warped that I was astounded the machine booted up. More inside...
