I am working on a list since 2004 that I think would be salable. It's publicly available contact information for radio, TV, magazines, syndicates, newspapers, book publishers and agents. I'm a freelancer and I originally started it because I wanted to be able to reach these sources to interest them in my content. But I realized it could be a product. [more inside]

I'm a freelance reporter who just finished a multi-part series for a nonprofit news organization. Now I'd like to turn it into an ebook. I am not savvy about rights, commissions, etc., and neither is my editor/publisher. What do we need to know to negotiate a fair revenue split? [more inside]

if I'm looking through a library... does being published with Springer Verglag mean that the research is legit, and does being published with Nova Publishers mean that it isn't?

I had a large address list in Microsoft Publisher 2003 I used for address label mail merges. It resided on a Windows XP3 Service Pack 3 machine.
I upgraded my machine to Windows 7 32Bit and MS Office 2007.
Mail merge address list Edit attempts now says "An operation cannot be completed because of database engine errors" report.
Any suggestions on exporting that data or synchronizing to the new database form? Can I extract the data from this old database into some other format and import it to the new Publisher...or do I have to...eek...
re-enter all the data and create a new database?

I have a MS Publisher Document that I need to change the font tracking on. The change in the tracking must correspond to -50 and -25 tracking settings in PageMaker, but the Publisher expresses tracking values in terms of percentage. Anyone have a guess as to what percentage in Publisher would equal -50 and -25 in Pagemaker?

I have a document that has 4 identical postcard sized signs that display a constantly changing date. I'd like to put a macro button in (either Word or Publisher) that will open up a dialog box and allow me to type in the date, and have it auto-populate into the appropriate 4 places. [more inside]

How does Gourmet: Diary of a Foodie get funded? Is it just like a non-commercial commercial for Gourmet magazine and its advertisers and then given away to public radio stations?

Good publisher of Italian classics? I ask only this:
the text is as it was first written,
the book is free from the pollution of study notes.
I suppose I'm looking for the Italian equivalent of England's 'Oxford University Press', or Germany's 'Reclam'.
