About 4 months ago, my beloved PowerBook got in the way of a cup of coffee. The geniuses at the Apple Store said that the hard drive was completely fried, that the computer has become a paperweight and none of the information can possibly be retrieved. They said if anyone could retreive the information, which was doubtful, it wasn't them and that it would probably cost me a thousand dollars or more. (More information...) [more inside]

I'm looking to buy a new MacBook this summer and am hoping to sell my current 15", 1.3 GHz Powerbook (1.5GB RAM) to help cover some of the cost. I can't unscrew stuck screws from inside the ram compartment of my powerbook... very tight space and very delicate. What can I do? I have a suspicion that an ant or two has crawled in my titanium powerbook G4 (let's not talk about the ants!) and I wanted to open it up by taking up the keyboard/track pad assembly so I can inspect it, armed with a nice spray can of air.
