I have a picture I want to modify in photoshop, and I'm sure there are relevant tutorials out there on the web, but I don't know how to describe what I want to do to it. Basically, I'd like to give it the illusion of depth -- make the back wall seem further away, and give it more of a sense of perspective, so you get more of a feeling of looking into a room, and less like you're looking at a flattened image of a room. Can you help me to find an image or series of images which when revealed section by section or one by one suggest different things about a single situation? Like the old UK show Catchphrase I need an image which is initially covered and split into say 4 or 6 pieces. Each section is revealed bit by bit. Each reveal throws some new light on the situtation. What's an easy, convenient way to store framed pictures temporarily? (Especially when they're different sizes.) We have lots of framed photos, maps, etc. that we like to switch out every 6-12 months. We want to protect the glass and frames, of course, but ideally we'd also be able to access the pictures and switch them out relatively easily, without having to unwrap some hellish Christmas present of tape and cardboard and padding every time.

I can't for the life of me find this old NASA image of an engineer hand drawing a pixelated image from one of the early mars missions. My understanding is that they didn't have printers available quickly enough to visualize the images they were getting back so they printed up sheets of the numbers and added color themselves.
