I have a picture I want to modify in photoshop, and I'm sure there are relevant tutorials out there on the web, but I don't know how to describe what I want to do to it. Basically, I'd like to give it the illusion of depth -- make the back wall seem further away, and give it more of a sense of perspective, so you get more of a feeling of looking into a room, and less like you're looking at a flattened image of a room. A two part kitchenware/decorating question. Ok, the two parts have not much to do with each other. Except they are both in my house. a) how to hang large photographic prints without frames in a way that looks cool and b) I'm making a lot of yogurt these days and straining it with cheesecloth. I'm an amateur photographer. I recently took some quite close up pictures of a white flowered plant. I thought I'd better turn the exposure down (to -1) to avoid the flash picking out the whiteness of the flowers too much. But it didn't work out so well... [more inside]

What is this 'live photograph' called? I'm forgetting what this experience/event is called. The basic idea is actors posing in a scene - they're not moving, and I believe the 'audience' can move around and through these posed people. If I'm planning on taking only simple black and white, or perhaps sepia, pictures, does the number of megapixels in a camera matter all that much? I'm not planning on being the next Ansel Adams, btw.
