I've got my personal style pretty well sorted, and am willing to throw money at the problem of hating shopping. Where can I get the most quality bang for my buck when it comes to sweaters, buttondown shirts in non-traditional colors, and pants? Women's sizing, though I do shop on both sides of the aisle. High enough waist that they won't sag, comfortable, slim legs, cut to fit a curvy body, professional-ish - do these exist? [more inside]
I'm looking for a pair of climbing pants with specific requirements available in the US. More details to follow. [more inside]

Can I jam an iphone in my tight side jeans pocket, with a bunch of other crap, sit down, etc., and not have it be destroyed? [more inside]
As a business casual "uniform" for cooler weather I want to wear turtlenecks with slim pants. But I am not sure what kind of pants I want. Can you help me? Requirements within: [more inside]
The comments in this thread have inspired me to go ahead and ask: where can I find jeans that fit and don't stretch out? Hit me with your best pants. [more inside]
My comfort-loving preschooler (boy) only likes to wear sweatpants and leggings. I am of the opinion that sweatpants should never be worn in public, and most leggings are probably not warm enough for winter. Can you help me find comfy, warm pants that also look good? [more inside]
Hey folks I'm a reasonably fit male, 5'10" with a 32-34" waist and enormous thighs. Finding good pants is always problematic - typically they get around my trunks and are completely loose around my waist. I've had the best luck with Lucky brand jeans, but there must be more pant options out there. I try to dress casual chic - any tips, tricks or brand recommendations would be appreciated.
I want something to protect my pants from bike grease. Holding the pant tight with a conventional pant-holding-device is not sufficient, I still get chain grease all over my right calf. [more inside]
I'm shopping for the best. leggings. ever. Help me find them? [more inside]
I need help finding pants with pockets large enough to fit my hands (when I'm standing around awkwardly) or a set of keys without them falling out when I'm walking from building to building. Caveat: women's pants that are somewhat professional with straight or tapered legs . [more inside]
Fellow fat ladies of MeFi, where do you buy your work trousers and your comfortable, breathable underwear? [more inside]
I just purchased a bunch of new clothing at Theory, which is definitely a much hipper store than I'm used to shopping at. (My old standby was Banana Republic.) The sales staff was very helpful, and I'm very pleased with what I came home with, but I'd love some help in mixing and matching everything. Photos of (almost) all of the items I bought can be found here. [more inside]
Need new pants with a short inseam. Don't want to pay for hemming. [more inside]
What show from the late '80s or early '90s had a clown announce, "Hey, everybody! I've got a raccoon in my pants!"? [more inside]

Where can I find good yoga clothes for men? Mid-length pants and shirts that don't fall all over the place. My old Lululemon stuff was well-designed and held up wonderfully, but they don't seem to make any purpose-designed yoga clothes for men anymore. [more inside]
Where do I find more of these perfect pants? Felt like pajamas, but acceptable to wear in public and to work?? AMAZING. [more inside]
Whenever I shop for pants or shorts, almost everything I try on either has a tight waist and comfortable butt, or tight butt and too-loose waist. This applies across various brands. I like to say that I'm little in the middle but I got much back, but my proportions aren't that strange. Skinny jeans don't fit me, but I'm not going for pleated dockers, either. I wear approximately a 30" waist and 28" inseam. Guys, can you recommend any brands that solve this problem?
I need to find comfortable flat front women's pants in dark green for work. +1 if they are high quality and wrinkle free, +2 if they come in petite sizes! Does this unicorn exist? Boys uniform pants fit me but all are scratchy or poor quality.
I have lost ALOT of weight, and am on track to keep it off. I have a wife who has admitted she really enjoys vintage pics of guys in pants that showcase "the bulge", and she believes I now qualify. I have the butt and legs on my new "skinny pants" appropriately snug for her taste, but the fronts are disappointingly vague. Is this something I have to hunt down vintage jeans for, or ask a tailor for? Or is my endomorph body type, no matter how lean, cursed for flattened-fly jeans?
I'm a rookie member of the Providence Grays, a vintage baseball team. This season, we are having a difficult time finding a source of wool that we can use for our baseball trousers. Can anyone help me find a source? [more inside]
Recently my jeans have started lasting only one wear before beginning to smell musty. About halfway through the day, I notice that I've been sweating enough to make the waistband slightly damp and there is a distinct odor coming from my jeans. It comes back quickly after washing, and I've never experienced this before in my life - I'm used to jeans lasting a week or so before switching them out. How do I keep from making my jeans smell, or how do I eliminate the odor permanently in washing? [more inside]
I'm looking for mens jeans that are stretchy (I'm talking the material throughout the pants, not the waist band). I remember a while back the store Express in the local mall sold dress pants that were 5% elastic (said so in the tag). They looked normal, but when squatting down, or taking a big stride, they would "give" a little around the knee, up the thigh, etc.). Anyone know of something similar for mens jeans?
I feel self-conscious in tight legging pants but I think they are my best bet for comfort while working out and hiking. Can you help me find a pair I'll like? [more inside]
After being inadvertently reminded that I have kind of an unusual body type (tall & fairly thin upper body [6'2", 210 lbs, 34W x 36L]... but with massive ham-hock legs--see title), I've decided it's time to quit my grumbling and actually find dress pants that fit. I've looked through the archives and while there's been good advice for casual and blue-collar menswear, I need something that I can wear with a shirt & tie. I like Bonobos and Banana Republic style (or "style," whatever), but I've gained a little weight recently and even though my waist is about the same, everything fits like a sausage casing around my thighs and butt. Who makes the pants I'm looking for?
I keep having the same wear and tear on my suit pants (and to a lesser extent, jeans and khakis) and I want to know what is causing it and how to make it stop. In almost every pair the crotch begins to go quickly, tearing apart, piling, fraying, and being worn straight through with little holes. it's like I'm doing splits or high kicks all day. These occur across types of pants, tailored and not, stuff I swear frequently and stuff I hardly ever wear. As far as I know I'm buying the right size and try to wear them at my natural waist, just below the belly button and frequently with belts. I'm a guy with a bit of a gut and I don't go for marathon runs in my suit pants. For outfits I wear a lot I rotate the pants but within a year they're ruined and torn up. Is it the material? Am I sitting wrong? Hanging them wrong? Is there something I should be looking or/asking the tailor about? [more inside]
Where's this black friday online deal: 1. high quality pants (really nice chinos/khaki pants/like Bonobos - i.e. a bit hip/in fancy colors) 2. at around $25-50 3. that ship to Germany? Recommendations for brands that match the style and price are fine (I'd find out about the shipping..).
I wear a suit or dress trousers most days to the office, and am looking to replace some of my wardrobe. I've gone to a few mens' clothing stores, but have struck out looking for high-waisted, fitted but not tight, flat front men's trousers. (Details/snowflake/etc inside) [more inside]
What are the highest-quality, most comfortable sweatpants I can buy? [more inside]
A friend of mine gave me a couple of pairs of new "Gap 1969 Long & Lean" boot-cut jeans that she got altered before she decided they didn't really fit. She's an inch or two or more than two shorter than I am. I'm wondering if I could get them re-altered into a straight-leg (or maybe slightly tapered?) cut that I can roll up a little, but I don't know anything about sewing. [more inside]
I'm on the hunt for pants that fit. I have skiers' thunder thighs, love handles that are slightly larger than my hips and no butt. I'm on the lookout for skinny jeans in dark, unadorned washes, for under $100. The closest fit I've found is Target's fit 3, but it aint great. Suggestions? More hip-shaped snowflake details inside... [more inside]
I am a 6'3" slender man (< 180 lbs) in my mid 30s. I am a grad student and I work in independent media. Don't jump to any conclusions but you're probably not too far off in your pigeonhole. I don't have workplace dress codes, but I would like to find some nice non-denim pants. I'm looking for something like casual-hip/casual-dressy. I generally like svelte-fitting pants, which may or may not be still in style. [more inside]
I am not a regular strip club attendee, so when I went to one today I had an unusual experience that I don't know if it was normal, and if it is how others handle it. It's NSFW and embarrassing, so details inside. [more inside]
I have the worst time finding bottoms that fit. I currently own only 2 pairs that fit correctly. Suggest a pair, website, or brick-and-mortar to shop at for me? I've been looking for a new pair for almost a year now... Details inside. [more inside]
Saw a woman wearing these cute pants and have no idea what words to search to find a pair. Can anyone ID? (sorry for blurry crap photo, I felt creepy enough taking it but thought it'd be creepier to ask her). Elastic waistband but not a sweatpants-kind of feel, looked dressy and comfy at the same time.
I am in need of comfortable, loose, modest pants/trousers suitable for sitting cross-legged on the floor for long periods of time. This will be in public, so unfortunately pj's are out. Preferrably under 40US and not hideous to look at. Yoga pants are too form-fitting. I'm a US ladies size 8/10 with a small waist, womanly hips and thighs and 5'3"ish. Any ideas?
Hot summer days in New York can be miserable with the heat and humidity. I feel like I'm on an endless quest to find the perfect summer pants. What should I wear to keep cool and look stylish without being over or under dressed? [more inside]
I am a lady with a small waist and a generous booty. I look best in "high-rise" or "high-waisted" pants because, well, my waist is pretty high, which means that the popular "low-rise" and "mid-rise" trousers leave acres of billowing flesh exposed between my actual waist and the waist of the pants. What brands or specific jeans or pants (or skirts) can I wear? I've had decent luck with Simply Vera for Kohl's skinny jeans with stretch. Any other suggestion from like-waisted ladies? [more inside]
I'm looking for suggestions for actual brick-and-mortar stores where I could try on a wide variety of size 16-18 suit separates or dressy-to-formal tops/pants combinations. [more inside]

Looking for some information on the history of pants pooping incidents in popular culture. Not interested in pooped pants as part of a play or sketch. I'm looking for legitimate poops on the red carpet. The goal of this question is to determine the most famous person to have pooped their pants in public.
I'm a Former Fat Kid who's had to exercise religiously to stay in some kind of (refrigerator-like) shape as an adult. My distribution of fat and muscle means that I have huuuuge glutes and quads. Pants are therefore my enemy. Help me find a fit! [36yo/M] [more inside]
Where can I get burgundy/dark red chinos (or other machine-washable trousers) in a 52" waist for men for a decent price? [more inside]
I'm curious what the most frequently purchased colors are for regular, non-jean pants for men. I was discussing this with a colleague today, and guessed black and navy. I'm looking specifically for industry numbers or anecdotal evidence from those working in clothing manufacturing or sales. (I already guessed!) Thanks in advance.
This is the logo. I want to know what brand or company it corresponds to. It's on a pair of pants. That's about all I know since it's not mine.
