I'm looking for games available for the PlayStation 3 with (fully clothed, not overtly sexualized) female protagonists, or protagonists of unspecified gender. Ideally, the games would also be non-violent or minimally violent, and they would rely largely on puzzle-solving rather than time-sensitive and reflex-dependent jump-and-shoot strategies.

I've got home video in a number of formats that I'm trying to convert to play on my PS3. I have a Very Large NAS with integrated UPnP server (a version of Twonky), so I'm not looking for a new way to stream the data. I've got Handbrake 0.9.8 for OS X, which doesn't (appear to) have a preset for the PS3. I've dug around a little bit, but every set of settings I've found either results in data the PS3 won't read, or video that's more artifacted than I expected (common symptom - horizontal striping when things move). Anyone have a good set of parameters to transcode to something the PS3 can use?

A trip to Game Stop tonight looking for a PS3 game that I can enjoy with my 15 yo daughter was less than satisfactory. My daughter is pretty open as far as genre goes but I would prefer something not too graphic, and ideally would like a game that doesn't focus on killing at all. I'd also prefer something that doesn't require special equipment. Must have a 2 player mode but either cooperative or competitive is fine. Any great titles with these specifications?

I do not have cable or satellite and I need to watch a program on TNT. I have a TiVo DVR; PS3; Netflix streaming; ethernet connection to iMac. I am willing to spend a little money for the show. I'm getting a projector for gaming (and occasionally movies). It's across a living room, about 15 feet, to go on a wall. I've previously used just a boring office projector and that worked fine. I'm not super concerned about image quality; it needs to be good enough to read text on the "screen", but that's about it. Can I get away with an LED projector?

Since the Xbox 360 doesn't have a browser I am unable to connect to Xbox Live on a public internet connection because the 360 cannot give me access to the user agreement (if anyone knows a way around that, I'd like to know). Does anyone know if the PS3 has a browser capable of going on a public wifi and agreeing to the user agreement? I ask this because I am considering purchasing one for the library I work at. This will allow me to download updates for our games.

I've been having an (infuriating) issue getting my PS3 to play nice with my Comcast cable internet. System updates and game patches, but not downloads from the Playstation Store, seem to be getting throttled. The download will proceed normally at first, but then will stall at some arbitrary point., and eventually time out.
