I'm developing a custom 404 page using .htaccess to redirect to the 404.html. I'm trying to use PHP (via an include in the 404.html) to show the referring page (using $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']). This works fine. I'd also like to return the bad URL that originates the 404. Is this possible using PHP?

I have an idea for yet another hairbrained social networking website (which paradoxically might hit it big :-) ). I've coded most of it up on a linux server using apache, php, mysql at softlayer.com. The hostname is registered at godaddy (which I can change if desirable). I would like to make an anonymous proxy using PHP (similar in concept to how http://anonymouse.org works). I need to know why my HTML form isn't sending me e-mail when the user submits it. It also doesn't go to the header page after submission. However, the submitted info DOES show up in the URL. ( e.g., http://www.example.com/contactus.html?Name=John&Title=CEO....)

I have Drupal 5.2 installed on OS X 10.4.10. On the status page, Drupal says, "The GD library for PHP is missing or outdated. Please check the PHP image documentation for information on how to correct this." (This is the PHP 4.4.7 that is built into Tiger.)

How to do separation of public and private data on the web with PHP/MySQL? I'm creating a website for a business, with 2 sections - public and admin (staff).
