I understand the basic concept of oAuth, but I don't understand how to implement it, from a line-by-line standpoint. I'm looking for a basic walkthrough of how to leverage oAuth to authenticate a PHP-powered application to access a user's data. I'd highly prefer the walk-through not explain how to use oAuth to work with any particular service (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, FitBit), but rather that it keep the walkthrough pretty vanilla. I would classify myself as being an intermediate PHP developer.
Does such a walkthrough exist?

I'm currently shopping for pay themes for a Wordpress blog. A lot of theme websites have previews for their themes, but are rather limited in their implementation. Are there good review/forum sites for themes that aren't SEO backwash, or is there an effective search method to find sites that use a particular theme?

I'm new to PHP and Wordpress development, but have experience working with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and XML. I'm currently building a Wordpress theme for a project and I'm feeling a little out of my depth. What is a good starting point for doing theme work?

I'm designing a custom Wordpress theme as part of a project. In addition to the typical Wordpress install, there's also going to be a social media plug-in on top of it (which has already been picked out and installed by another member of the project). This is the most complicated bit of web development that I've done, so I'm curious: what sort of workflow should I set up to make things easy on myself?

Have to build a form for a web site that takes generic stuff (name, address, etc.) but also processes a payment, preferably through Paypal Pro. The site is hosted by Dreamhost and the CMS is Expression Engine. Paypal Pro's site is a little mind-boggling for an amateur like myself. Are there companies that will just do this aspect of the development (and quickly) or a site that has solutions given these variables? I don't mind paying, I just need it done fast.

I know how to make database-driven web sites using Windows servers, Access, IIS, and ASP.
I want to learn how to do the same using Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, and... whatever you use instead of Access.
Where do I start?

I have been looking at changing my web development focus from Windows/ASP/.NET to LAMP(Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Python/Perl) because my gut is telling me that this is where things are going. Oh, Java should be in there as well.
What's the skinny on LAMP in the real world (Netcraft
surveys aside)? Is it difficult to change to LAMP/Java? Is the open source thing really sticking?
