Desktop PC powering down shortly after powering on -- what next?

My four year old home-assembled Windows desktop PC was working fine until a recent move. Now, when I turn it on, it seems to be booting as usual but then powers down about 15-45 seconds after powering on. What's the likely problem? What do I do next? [more inside]

I've very recently (ie yesterday) got myself a brand new desktop PC! Looking for program for video montage / randomly creating video on PC

I have a 2yr old and lots of video I take almost daily: I love how the iOS apps Qwiki and FrameBlast automatically/randomly cut and assemble videos on my iPhone to make a video montage - sometimes it lands on a really nice selection and I feel wonderful sense of serendipity. With little or no effort, I have a great video to share with friends and family. What are some PC desktop equivalent software programs that will make a very busy guy's family video montage creation easier?

Buying a Windows 7 PC

I want to purchase a new computer before Windows 7 rotates out. I'm not sure what specs/etc I want from it, but I'd like it to cost $750 or less and to be able to run games at reasonable settings (maybe not current-gen ones, but definitely something like Oblivion from several years back without any problems.) How do I stop a hardware beep in my desktop PC?

My IT Help Desk is stumped - can you help me? My computer is making what I can only describe as a hardware beep that I can't turn off. Muting Windows and disabling all system sounds doesn't work. Yet the beep only happens when I do certain things with the software - at first, it was only when trying to save a document into my virtual system in Word, but recently it's every time an email arrives in Outlook, which is just awful. This didn't used to happen, but once, many months ago, I accidentally pressed a random combination of keys and it started. I have no idea how to turn it off - and neither do the IT people. System details inside. [more inside]

Digital files, accessible from anywhere?

Question for Graphic Designer types: What's the best solution for secure and reliable online storage, with 24/7 access from a desktop/laptop (Mac, PC and Linux), smart phone and/or mobile device and the web, for gigabytes of graphic design files? These files include various large image formats (JPG or TIF), Indesign, Word and Illustrater files, etc, etc. Bonus points if this secure and reliable service allows people to seamlessly add files to a public folder, either via drag and drop or email.
