I use iMail at work and set up to use that email on Outlook at home. I have preview off at both locations. When I use Outlook, it causes all of the messages that I had marked as "unread" as "read" when I get back to work (even if I didn't even look at it). Strangely, Outlook shows ALL unread in outlook. Long story short, Outlook shows all "unread" (which I can deal with) but iMail then shows everything as "read" when I next open it.
The problem is that I mark messages as unread when I still need to address them. When this happens, I have lose all of my outstanding items. I do not want to use flags. Is there a setting in Outlook that I need to know about?

I'm curious how people deal w. their old email. (esp those using Outlook and IMAP, but others, too...)

Two questions regarding the use of Outlook 2007 and Gmail's IMAP. Here are the questions; detailed explanations inside.
-I use Gmail to pull mail and send from two other e-mail accounts. Is there a way to set Outlook up to do the same?
-When I open Outlook, it creates a label called "Junk E-mail" in Gmail. Is there a way to stop this? [more inside]

Non-Googlable tech support! I have a friend doing hosting off courier-imap. I am forced to use Outlook 2003 as a client. With Outlook, no matter which machine I go to, I cannot access my IMAP account and only return an error (detailed inside) about Outlook is unable to download folder (null). Here are links of people with the same problem but no solutions, 1

I'm running Outlook 2003 (I have to! Not a choice!) and I need to now convert from POP3 to IMAP seamlessly. It seems like whenever I try to do it my old e-mail is in the Personal Folder section and it creates a new IMAP folder. This is unacceptable! I want everything to look generally like it is, and do it without exporting a PST and reimporting and all such nonsense. [more inside]
