How do you organize your digital recipes?

What system do you use to organize your digital recipes from various sources? I often come across recipes from Twitter friends, Buzzfeed (20 ways to use mustard!), YouTube, Tumblr, Metafilter, etc and then I can't find them again. I know I could use a bookmarking system like Pinboard, or something more complex like Evernote, but I wondered what other people do.

Productivity tips when you can work only in dribs and drabs

Which leadership position should I run for in grad school?

I'm having a hard time deciding which positions to run for that'll be manageable with my school load. I'm currently in grad school, no job, no family to take care of. I have a 3.7 GPA and I'm very organized. I plan on pursuing a post-grad program that is very competitive so leadership roles would help me standout. Currently I already have 1 leadership role in a student organization and I'm looking to get another one. Here are the two options that I'm debating about: [more inside]

How should I respond to a classmate regarding racial bias?

I'm an Asian female attending a University. I wanted to run for a leadership position in an organization that consists of 70% Asians. A Caucasian classmate of mine who wants to run for the same position thinks that I'll get elected over him because of the group's demographic. I found out from a mutual friend that he might withdraw from the election. How should I go about addressing this issue with him? I really want to make it a fair competition and convince him that the group demographic should not benefit me in anyway because I have the same amount of interactions with them as he does. I also want him to know that I have other skills and attributes that would make me fit the officer role, and not my race. Thank you for your advice!

Back in NYC after years of working, now in need of organization help

After four years of working for film festivals in various cities, and another few years living and working at a private school, I've come back to New York City to get my Master's while living at la maison famille. But nearly everything I own other than my clothes and my laptop is in boxes, either in my family's house or in storage. Some of those boxes haven't been opened since 2004. What I have now is a three part challenge, and if you can help with any part I'd be grateful. [more inside]

Where and how do you store and organize cosmetics?

I have, at conservative estimate, a TON of makeup. Not a lot of big, oversized palettes (2? maybe?), mostly individual eyeshadows, lipsticks, blushes, pencils, mascaras, glosses. I cull through often for expired stuff, old stuff, stuff I don't use, but it still kind of takes over bathroom counter space. Windows software to organize photos and videos by date taken

We have our windows 7 computer organized by user, and the folder system is a mess. I want to be able to browse photos, and videos, by one simple criteria, date taken. For example, want to see every picture and video on my PC That was taken on July 19, 2013. I don't want it to be tricked by the save date, the edit date, what folder it's in, or which camera was used. Only the date I snapped the shot. Fantastic would be some kind of timeline that you can very quickly scroll thru and it shows you some kind of date display where you're at.
