Please recommend music that is similar in style (as close as possible and working outward from there) to the song Diva Dance from the movie The Fifth Element. I would particularly enjoy similar opera, if that exists. Be sure to recommend groups/bands/singers and, if possible, specific songs as examples.
Here is the Diva Dance video for comparison:

Thank you very much!

I chanced upon Ava Maria the other day, and I was quite taken with the sound.
I sourced many other tracks and disliked all of them.
It would seem, mostly I don't like Opera.
I'm keen to find what I do like though, so I'm hoping someone will recommend similar performances.
I guess I don't much care for understanding the words I just love the pure voice as an instrument.
Female, pure, mellow.
Hope you can help.

I have very little interest in classical music, but lately I've found myself intrigued by opera, of all things. It seems very rock and roll in it's inherent drama and showmanship and...humanity for lack of a better word. Or perhaps it's merely my Italian heritage calling me home. Any good ideas on where to start? I'd prefer older recordings because I'm big on starting at the source. I kinda like that "La donna mobile..." thing that you hear on sports shows sometimes. Thanks.
