I am interested in having sex with an older woman (late 60's). I am a younger male (50's) and my partner is obviously older, and hasn't had intercourse in a long time (many years). What should I expect in terms of the biology of things? I guess these are my questions:
-will sex be the same as I remember it being with women my own age?
-Will nature take care of the lubrication or should I be prepared with something else?
-is an orgasm a realistic possibility?
-Obviously we'll figure a lot of this out as we go, but I want to be sensitive to the possibility of things not working.
-Any other thoughts, tips or experience? I want it to be enjoyable for her (me too of course)

I was continuously employed for almost 30 years. I never came close to being fired and was actively pursued by many companies in my field. Less than a year after my 50th birthday I was laid off. That was over 4 years ago and I have been unable to get even an interview since then. I feel like trying to find employment is becoming more futile as time passes. My question is "Have you heard of anybody over 50, out of work for over 4 years being hired in any field? If, as I suspect, the answer is no, then what are my options? I have worked freelance jobs in order to survive, but I have also used up all of my savings during this period. At this point I am way in debt, I have 2 kids going to college, I am unable to afford health insurance and my marriage hangs by a thread. I suffer from depression and my confidence in my skills has been severely shaken. I am not prepared to spend another 20 or 30 years in these circumstances, but what choice do I have?

I have a 9 year old pitbull female. I've owned her all her life and she is very attached to me and other members of my family. She seems to remember some past abuse and is not friendly to strangers, especially men. She did get in a serious fight once, with my son's dog who normally she enjoys playing and swimming with.
I bought a very young puppy and... [more inside]

One of my best friends is graduating soon from a MSN program. He is already well established in his career, but he took an opportunity to continue his education. He has decided to walk at the ceremony. The ceremony is out of town, and requires flying, not within driving distance. Because we love him and want to show our support, me and my family were planning on going to the ceremony, but the cost of the trip and the time off work is not really doable. Even if I went by myself, it is pretty expensive, so travel has been pretty much ruled out. We would like to get him a gift that would be meaningful and personal, since we can't be there to cheer him on. We thought about a small party, but that seems a little cheesy and routine. We would really like to do something special. Any ideas?

My grandma has been socially reliant on email for a decade or so now -- she emails her sister, her children, and her grandchildren. She's pretty deaf, so emails have been an especially good way of keeping in touch, as none of us live near her these days. Unfortunately, she's forgetting things now (she's 93), so what used to be possible for her now seems less so. What to do? [more inside]

I work in a research lab that is transitioning from working with young adult populations to working with 60 year old and up adults. Most people in the lab who don't have experience with older adults (myself included) are finding the transition frustrating and difficult at times. Can you recommend some resources to help us work better with older adults? [more inside]

Let's assume you are a 50-ish Lady who's wardrobe has diminished lately. What you you wear to a nice summer outdoor wedding when you don't own a lot of formal stuff and want to sharpen up your wardrobe from office-drab anyway? Where can you find these things? What places should you look? Whom should you listen to for advice? In short, what do stylish Over-50 Ladies wear to their various traditional and non family events on a budget? Ideally in New York?

My mom is nearing 60 and is thinking about going back to her home country to travel alone. I'm all for it but it also worries the heck out of me! I wonder if there are any "older" korean women travel groups that she might be able to hook up with...and what the pros/cons are. Are there any places out there that she should particularly stay away from? I could just be overprotective here... but would love to hear any input about solo/group traveling in / around korea and whether there are any travel groups for older women. :) TIA!!!
