I have a Mac with OSX Mountain Lion. My university uses Oracle Calendar 9.0.4. In the past, I have set up syncing to my iCloud calendar using my iPad with SyncML pro, so I know I can do this, in principle. What I'd like to do is find a way of syncing to my iCloud calendar
without an iOS device - preferably an OSX application. Why is this so hard to figure out how to do?

I've read
this,
this,
this and a bunch of other sites. I've got a Mac Pro and a Powerbook I'd like to share home directories over, but I'd rather not purchase OS X Server or get a small machine up and running Linux to deal with authentication (LDAP). Anyone authenticate locally, but still use the portable home directories?
Alternatively, anyone just unison their entire /user/ directory?
Thanks!

Audio and video are out of sync on mp4s downloaded from Google Video about 80% of the time. Is there anything simple that I can do about this? OSX, by the way, and it's mostly for watching on my iPod.

It's been months now and I still can't find a synchronization solution for Google Calendar / iCal (or palm desktop) / Palm Pilot. The very fact that it's taken so long is making me suspect that there's some technical issue that makes it actually not possible. Is this correct? Is there a solution out there to sync (push data both ways) my google calendar with my palm pilot?

is there any way to "sync" email between a mac and a treo or blackberry device? might it be as simple as configuring an IMAP account?
i don't want to manage my email remotely only to come into the office and have to do it all again. and if i send important email from the road, i want it in my "sent" folder on my desktop.
please say yes - i really want one of these babies.
