I have a late 2008 MBP, 8GB RAM, with an SSD, running Lion without problems. Should I upgrade to Mountain Lion right now? Have the battery life and other issues been resolved? I'd like to upgrade because I've finally encountered a program that requires Mountain Lion and I'd like to use it.

I'm planning on getting a Mac Mini with Lion Server. I don't have much experience with security or setup. Point me to some basic articles, sites, or books, please. I'll also take any advice the hivemind might have as well.

I have an early 2011 Macbook Pro. I am installing a 64GB SSD (for OSX Lion and applications) and and then repurposing my stock HDD as my drive for my Home folder (documents, etc) using an OWC Data Doubler (installed in my optical drive spot). I have a bootable SuperDuper backup and many Time Machine Backups (on external drives). Once everything is installed, how can I transfer everything from backups to their new locations without losing all my preferences, bookmarks, etc.

How do I get my iMac to wake on demand when it's asleep and asked to do so?
These instructions from Apple are pretty straightforward on how to set it up for Bonjour, but I can't get it to work when it receives a request from Apple TV to wake up. It's an iMac running Lion with a Time Capsule set up as the Base Station. The iMac supports Wake on Demand over Wi-Fi and ethernet (it's connected over Wi-Fi). Time Capsule and Lion have the latest updates. I've found recommendations on Google but nothing has worked. Any troubleshooting pointers? (Bonus question: how can I get it to wake up from outside my network?) Thanks.

At work, there is a MacPro that I routinely use remotely via SSH, but have only sporadic physical access to. Someone else upgraded it to Lion (from Snow Leopard), and since then, I am unable to use the terminal locally or to log into it via SSH - in either case, the process immediately terminates / disconnects. Other user accounts on the same machine are not affected. What could be going on?

My sister has used a brand new 13" MacBookPro (w/ Lion) for several weeks, replacing her 4-year-old 15" MBP (upgraded to Snow Leopard). She's finding that, over the course of a day, the machine seems to dramatically slow - to the point where it seems much slower than her old machine.

Can anyone who has one tell me how much disk space OSX Lion plus Developer Tools leaves free on a 128Gb SSD MacBook Air? I'm no longer sure I ever had any google-fu (or else the spam answer sites are strong on this one...) - thanks in advance!

On my Mac I use the software EyeTV and it requires me to hold Shift + Command + C to take a screenshot. That is an annoying screen combination--is there any way I can create a macro or remap the keys? Either in EyeTV, OSX Lion, or some other add-on software so I can just press, for example, space? Or Command+Z or some such?

Please help me not hate OSX Lion. Even though I have deselected "Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps" every time I launch Pages, it opens several recent documents. This is driving me nuts.
