Taking our 7 & 9 year old girls on a whirlwind tour of New Hampshire next week, looking for overnight lodging suggestions between our destinations. Except for the final day in Hampton our hotels will be just "arrive in the evening, depart in the morning" affairs... [more inside]

What's the most high-felutant town or city in New Hampshire? I need to find a affluent area in NH which is wealthy, family orientated, lively and culturally rich...where a life-long New Yorker would find absolutely blissful for he, his wife and toddler. [more inside]

I'm going skiing this weekend with people who know how to ski- or in other words, they all own their own equipment and ski clothing. I have never skied before. Getting the equipment- boots, skiis, pole, blah blah is all ok... but is it even possible to rent clothing? Where?

I'm heading out to Killington, VT early tomorrow morning for a day and a half of skifun. I've been skiing on my old K2 210 straight sticks since 1995, and have decided to leave them at home this time and finally enter the world of shaped skis.
Can anyone recommend a good rental ski shop between Bangor and Killington? This includes Augusta, Portland, Portsmouth, Manchester, Concord, and Hanover. As it will be my first time on the curvy things and is a short trip, I'm just looking for a good value. Renting on the mountain is a last resort.

Probably about 5 years ago my friends and I were going on a hiking trip up to the White Mountains in New Hampshire we stopped on the way up in what my dad says was Rochester, New Hampshire and ate breakfast at a little restaurant called Froggers. It was called Froggers because everything was covered in different types of frogs, from dolls to wooden statues to toy frogs, anything frog related you can think of. Does anybody from that area remember that restaurant or have any information? It might not have been the right town

My husband, two young daughters (3 and 2) and I are moving to New Hampshire (from the midwest). I will be working in Merrimack. We'll be heading up there in a few weeks for a house hunting trip. Any suggestions on where we should look? Any kid-friendly activities in the area? Preschool suggestions?

I've got 4 days off in mid-June and would like to vacation in New Hampshire and Vermont. I"m interested in light hiking and beautiful scenery, and hotels in the $150-200 range. Any recommendations about what to see and where to stay?
