Photosearch: I'm looking for a photo from the 2003 NY blackout. It's of a single building that still had light due to having a fuel cell. It may be the Central Park police station (but maybe not) and it may have appeared in the NYT.

As long as I'm in town, I'd like to go to a well-known pickle place on Manhattan this Sunday. I'd prefer Guss' Pickles, but I'm having a really hard time finding official-looking (or even recent) information on it. It seems that
The Pickle Guys are in their old Essex St location. Is Guss' on Orchard St still? Are the hours in
this review still accurate? Should I go somewhere else altogether?

Where can a person rent an elliptical exercise machine (e.g. Precor) in New York City? I'm interested in getting a high quality elliptical machine for home use, but I'm concerned about the cost and my relative lack of self-motivation. I don't want to spend $2000+ on a machine that I use five times then ignore. I'd rather rent for a while until I'm sure it works for me. I need something at home -- gym membership is not an option.
Is there any company that will rent me an elliptical machine by the month, and deliver to my apartment in Manhattan?

GeoCaching in NYC: I'm going to be visiting NYC for the weekend, and would love to do some
GeoCaching while I'm there. I'm overwhelmed by the amount of caches on the website. Does anyone have specific caches that they've found that are worth recommending? Any areas to concentrate on? Areas to avoid? General NYC caching tips? This will be my first attempt at urban caching, I'm usually out in the woods.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have to leave Portland at around 1 p.m. on Thursday. This means I'll be nearing NYC right around rush hour. Google Maps suggests going 84 to 91 to 95, over the GWB, to Garden State Parkway to Rt. 36. Should I trust Google on this one?

I just received an email from someone at an energy management company who is preparing a document for the U.S. Department of Energy. They found three of my photos from the
NYC August 2003 blackout on the web and are offering to purchase the rights for using them in this report. I can provide high-resolution photos to them, but have no idea how to estimate how much to charge them per photo. As an amateur photographer, how do you assign values to your photos for re-use?
