Similar-in-style songs to Christina Aguilera's Candyman? I'm helping plan a wedding dance list, and this modern boogie is a lot of fun, but I don't want to be the one that drops "he makes my cherry pop" into this particular dance hall. In other words, it should be clean too. [more inside]

Needed: "Romantic songs of the 1930s/40s/50s that are very easy to play on guitar". My brother has asked me to sing "something" at his mostly secular wedding on August 13. No piano available, *maybe* a guitar player of unknown skill level. He seems to want something romantic and 1930s-50s American pop. He's mentioned "It's Only a Paper Moon" with enthusiasm, but I'm not sure that would be easy enough to play on guitar. [more inside]

Wedding Filter: I'm looking for piano pieces that are light, happy, and energetic. I like classical and baroque (Mozart, Handel, Bach, etc.), and would prefer something not hacknied or cliched -- i.e. no Vivaldi Four Seasons or Delibes Lakme. Needs to be piano music or adaptable to piano. These would be played before the ceremony begins, as people are sitting down.

I'm playing a wedding in May, after having responded to a CL post requesting a wedding guitarist who could play dylan. The bride and I have exchanged e-mails, and it seems that the only song she demands is "I want you" by Bob Dylan. I have carte blanche for the rest of the songs. Any suggestions? [more inside]

Marriagefilter - I (we) got engaged a few weeks ago, and the wedding planning has started. We're frantically searching (our minds, the intraweb) for pre-ceremony songs. Something along the lines of Sarah Mclachlan, something easy for a male and female vocalist. My fiance is even considering a song by Wynonna. Please lend any suggestions; we're brain dead.

WeddingKitschFilter: I have to produce my best friend's rehearsal dinner slideshow montage (baby pictures, soundtrack, awww factor, etc), but I'm not sure what the best software tool is to create it. I'm competent in final cut, flash, powerpoint, hell, even MS movie, but I'm thinking these might be overkill. Does anyone know of a software tool that might be, perhaps, geared specifically for something like this? Or perhaps have any experience you'd like to share using the aforementioned tools in such a setting? Besides the "want to make friend happy" aspect, this might end up turning into a portfolio piece for an upcoming business venture, so I'm hoping not to approach it as a one-off hack job.
