I have a paper advertising item which, I am told, was printed by Carlo Belloni in Milan, Italy. The item appears to be from around 1920 to 1940 or perhaps earlier. For dating purposes, I would like to know when this printer was in operation. TIA

Traveling to Italy for eight days starting the evening of 12/25/2012. We'll be in Rome, Venice and Milan. Please tell me "must-sees" or "must-dos" while I am there with my husband and 8 year-old son.

What was the black or brown or dark red grain we ate with the aperitivo this week in Milan? It was served as a salad, mixed with green peas, some onion and anchovy. And yummy. [more inside]

Foodie trip to Italy- what restaurants shouldn’t I miss in Rome? What’s the best plan for a day of wine tasting in Florence? Where should we take pasta-making lessons in Bologna, and is there really nothing to do in Milan? [more inside]

I made a website for my apartment to rent it out in short term let. Somebody has any idea what to add there or where to advertise this. Was thinking about facebook. Somebody has experience? Tried sublet.com but it isn't working very good so far. [more inside]

I plan to drive from Venice, Italy to Valenica, Spain in April or May 2009 using the following route.
I will stay for a few days or weeks in little spots along the way. I should have about six weeks in total. I mostly want to see a little of Spain and Italy, the French Riviera, Montpellier, Marseilles and finish at Valencia. Apart from that anything else I should try to see? Any parts of the chosen route I should avoid? What's driving like along that route? Any rental car companies which will let me pick up in Italy and drop off in Spain?

I'm travelling to Italy in late August and am looking for hotel recommendations for Milan, Florence, and Rome. I'm looking for not the most expensive, but not the least expensive. Maybe 3-4 stars? I'm also looking more for an "Italian" experience than a big chain hotel. I'd be happier in something that is smaller and older (if well kept) or more of a boutique-type place. I'll be travelling by train and won't have much more than 2 days per city, unfortunately, so a central location is important to me. If there are any Italians or Italy travellers who might be willing to advise me, I'd really appreciate it!

ShippingFilter: Can you send soda cans via snail mail without them exploding en route? Any special packaging required? Please help me liberate some captive Dr Pepper from Milan...
