When I try to log in to Yahoo Messenger, the Yahoo ID menu includes the names of everyone who ever tried to log in on my machine. Is there any way to erase this list? I've found some suggestions for the PC but none for the Mac. I'm using OSX10.4.9 and the latest and greatest version of Messenger.

I was chatting with a friend using Yahoo last night. My yahoo client started initiating a file transfer of a .wmv file without me physically initiating it. Even stranger, it was a file I didn't even have on my hard drive. I cancelled the transfer before it could complete, because by the file name, it was obviously porn (still not mine!). Has anyone had this happen to them or heard of it happening to anyone else?

I can't log into Yahoo Messenger. When I try to log in, the message "There was a problem signing into Yahoo! Messenger with Voice (BETA). Please try again a little bit later." My 13-year-old brother uses MSN messenger a lot. Last night, a stranger popped up to speak to him, and after some taunting, told him he was going to delete his account. My brother got rid of him - and then found when he logged out, he couldn't log back in again.

What with my brother's tender age, there are a few holes in his story - has anyone heard of this happening before?

Ok in iChat you can "show your status in the menubar". While I really like this, it only shows my buddys who are available and not the idle or away buddies. Is there a way to change this? Also is there an equivalent thing for MSN messenger? I really like the ability to see who is on without having to switch to the application unless I have to. I am working on a 12inch iBook so screen space is very limited and thus switching from one app to another, and then rehiding them is not what I am looking for.

i went to Paris over the holidays and spotted a messenger-type bag made by a company called Sequoia at the Samaritaine department store. i've since been unable to find any information on the web about the manufacturer, or if they have a website where i could get their bags online. anyone know anything about these people?
