I am looking for a program that will easily allow me to create a Flash banner. All I want is to create a banner that has about 4 images fading in and out and some animated text over top. I should think this would be super easy but I am trying to find a software program to do it and I am coming up with either stuff that's way too complex or software that can't do it.
Do you know of any program that would help me? (It doesn't need to be free, I can spend up to 100 USD on it).

I currently own the educational version (no real difference beyond the price) of Adobe CS2 Premium Web Bundle which includes Macromedia Studio 8. I need to upgrade to CS3 for school, but I can't find the "bundle" that has the programs I need.

Macromedia (sorry, Adobe) Director question. If I paste text from Word etc. into my Director text field, and I then select it and change it into an embedded font, will there be problems with curly quotes, em-dashes and such on other users' computers? Or does the "embedding" process enable me to use these characters? I don't care too much about curly quotes, but I do like my em-dashes & would rather not have to change them all to double hyphens.

Is there a way to automatically inject links to corresponding text phrases in Dreamweaver? For example, everytime the phrase, "flashy raver pants" appears, would it be possible for Dreamweaver to automatically make it a link to a pre-determined site? And if not in Dreamweaver, is there another way?

Flash Actionscript Problem. _rotation rotates a movie clip how do flip a movie clip (as in mirror image). I have tried _flip, _mirror and looked all over but cannot find the correct syntax.

Macromedia Fireworks is one of my favorite tools, without peer (IMHO) when it comes to web design. But it recently stopped doing something I'd ranked among one of my favorite features. It used to be that when I clicked on a color-picking box, I could use the dropper tool to suck up colors
outside of the application window, which is rather handy for quick color grab. Last week, it stopped doing this. How can I get this feature back?
