Best solution for recording phone interviews. Here's my equipment: iPhone, MacBook, iPad. I'm a blogger, and I've been recording my interviews into a recording app on my iPad, or into garageband on my mac, using my iPhone on speakerphone. I'd prefer to not use speakerphone, as it cuts out and sounds like a walkie-talkie. I have an important interview coming up, and I'd like to up my game audio fidelity-wise without buying any other gear. What's my best solution?

Something's wrong with copy-pasting images on my Mac. When I'm editing pictures, I copy part of it, and when I paste it comes out lighter than before.
Example here. The problem happens in Seashore and Paintbrush. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? I don't even know how to google this problem.

I've replaced an aging iMac with 3 external drives hanging off of it with a Macbook Pro with the same 3 external drives hanging off of it.
The setup also includes a cable modem and a Time Capsule.
Right now the drives are in daisychained Firewire mode.
I'm looking for a way to connect the drives to my wifi network so I can eliminate the need to plug the first drive into the laptop? Staying with Firewire would be nice, but it's not a deal breaker.

Hi Everyone
I have a Macbook Air with Thunderbolt (mid 2011) and a Mac Mini 3.1. Can anyone help me with the correct display settings for a Samsung TA550? I have searched - to no avail. Also trying out SwitchResX.
What bugs me is that XP of all things seems to work properly with the display.
What gives?
Thanks!

I've been having an (infuriating) issue getting my PS3 to play nice with my Comcast cable internet. System updates and game patches, but not downloads from the Playstation Store, seem to be getting throttled. The download will proceed normally at first, but then will stall at some arbitrary point., and eventually time out.

How do you use Scrivener and Devonthink together? I've seen lots of blog posts and comments about individuals using both products for researching, drafting, and writing complicated projects, and each looks awesome on its own, but I can't figure out a workflow that uses the strengths of both. If you use both tools, how do you do it? Insights from any area are welcome, but thoughts from academics are especially useful to me.

I've heard of these great Mac tools, but how do they work for the humanities? I'm a PC person working with some Mac users who want to organize their scholarly lives. I know that Papers, Mendeley, Bookends, and Sente are mentioned as excellent Mac programs, but according to various forum posts around the web I've heard that they're far better for the sciences. Can anyone recommend these for use in the humanities?
