Is there a Mac application out there that will take a screen shot of a web page graphic that changes frequently? Something that will run in the background (grabbing then adding to a folder) once I set the URL?
A sudden increase in spam making it past my email client's filters. I'm on a Mac using "Mail" for my email program. Up until three days ago, my junk filter caught all but a couple of spam emails. Now, for some reason, about ten times more spam emails seem to be making it past my filters. Any ideas why this is or how I can get back to a better signal-to-noise ratio?
Since upgrading to OSX Tiger on my Powerbook G4, Adobe Illustrator CS has been acting a little flaky. Among assorted document hangs/crashes (requiring force-quits), Illustrator keeps creating .tmp files on my desktop such as "Acr1058251.tmp". I've done a bit of googling and, as suggested, have changed my prefs to not create PDF's upon saving, but this doesn't seem to help. Have any designers out there found a solid answer to why these files are being created, and a proper fix?
What's the easiest way to implement a .PDF file that can be edited by multiple users (Mac and Windows)? (more inside) [more inside]
Seeking script/action in Mac OSX Safari that will utomatically erase my cache and history files at a certain time each day
Mac OSX Safari --Is there a script/action that I can enable to automatically erase my cache and history files at a certain time each day? While being fairly Mac savvy, I have no experience with writing scripts. I'm really looking for an easy solution, perhaps a piece of freeware?
How should one go about cleaning a laptop screen? I've always cleaned my regular monitors with good old Windex, but my Mac Powerbook manual recommends using only specialized cleaners (costly wipes) for active-matrix displays.
