Poor man's Ipod Touch

I'm looking for a cheap ($50 or less) PDA or cel phone that will sync with either Google Calendar or Ical. All I really want is the calendar/alarm, so when I'm not carrying my laptop I can be reminded of meetings. [more inside]

Mac deployment/imaging options that don't require rocket scientists

I am a novice mac lab manager. I was using the popular Netrestore to roll out images to our mac lab. I discovered that the software has been discontinued, and furthermore it now breaks when I try to use it.
So I guess I need to know what the easiest alternative to Netrestore/firewire drives is for imagine our two labs. [more inside]

Postfix Fix?

I installed OS X 10.3.2 from scratch on my Imac and it works great. Then I enabled Postfix using "postfix enabler" and I was receiving email and it was a glorious moment.

However, during my attempts to enable procmail, I broke something and even reverting to the backed up postfix config files won't fix it, nor will re-running postfix enabler.

Can I restore Postfix to its pristine state without reinstalling 10.3, or can I reinstall 10.3 and retain all of the stuff I installed using Fink?

Many thanks. I would ask this question on a newsgroup, but that postfix crew are a bunch of meanies. [more inside]

What's the best email list software for OS X?

What's the best (free, easy to install, doesn't hog resources) emai list software for OS X?

I've been running Macjordomo, but it is buggy and hogs resources, slowing down my machine. I manage about 10 local lists, with not more than 20 members of each list.

I thank you, MeFi gestalt...
