Help me find a Mac friendly wireless router? I've got a broadband neophyte Mac-using brother stuck in the wilderness. He just got DSL, but the router he has only uses PC software, and there's nobody even semi-local who can help him. Are there any wireless routers out there known for their Mac-friendliness? That is, come with Mac software for setup, have Mac-oriented support, etc?

I've got a mac and a PC sharing the same desk, both on a 802.11g network, but file transfer between the two is atrociously slow, like only a couple hundred kb/sec. Is there any way to transfer lots of data quickly between the two (like several Mb/sec)? A crossover ethernet cable between the two? USB? Firewire?

iMacFilter. I'm attempting to connect my slot-loading iMac to a SBC DSL router. I can't get the iMac to recognize the DSL connection or locate the modem.
In my attempts to rectify this, I reorganized the hard drive using Discwarrior. Now the computer somehow boots up with MacOS 9.2, even after an OSX re-install. Help!

I do not know much at all about Macintosh computers, and I couldn't find any info regarding the ability to see files on the network, cross platform. I basically want to have access to the music files on one of the PCs from the Imac. [more inside]
