I need suggestions for a video editor for work. Issues are: many formats, and I don't think the boss will go for buying me an iPad, which would be my first choice.

I have a Kodak Playsport Zx5 digital video recorder, and a full 16GB SD card worth of 500MB - 2GB .MOV video files. Where can I store them online? I'm interested in the following online video storage features (it would be great to have all of them offered by one website, but if that's not possible, I'll settle for a few):
1. Privacy options for marking videos as public/private
2. Free/Cheap storage
3. Ability to download original file at a later date
4. Ability to play video online

Help me make my audio/video fcp life easier. I'm spending far too much time encoding and converting, and there are issues once I've done that; how do I speed the process up? I'm going to be doing this on the road for 12 months, so I really need a better method. (detailed description of tech specs/issues inside)

Please recommend a Mac program that I can use to convert .mov files to .avi. I've found a lot of possibilities online but they all look kind of sketchy and I can't find any reviews that seem trustworthy.

Using Quicktime X to make a recording, but the .mov file it created won't open in anything. I suspect a corrupted header. Is there anything I can do?

best/cheapest way to get .mov's edited? it would mostly involve cutting out clutter/swerviness and combining footage from different videos. I'm savvy with audio but I'm a novice in digital video editing.

I am pre-loading some flash drives with promotional material to give away to students. I want to put three videos on the drives, and I want them to be immediately viewable by anyone, regardless of their level of technical ability. What's the best format?

I need to convert a short VOB file into a reletively high quality, uncompressed MOV file... it's for my reel and I am having a heck of a time finding a way to convert it while keeping the sound and image quality reletively intact. I have managed to create an AVI and a MPG/MPEG... but they don't want to be good little children and convert to MOV's through the freeware I have. Help!
