San Francisco Giants star pitcher Madison Bumgarner has won many accolades for his clutch performances. He's also had many notable run-ins with opposing players. Here's one list of conflicts he's had, including today's bench-clearing dustup with the Texas Rangers. As a close follower of the National League West, I've noticed that I've never seen him lose his cool at a non-Hispanic or non-black player. Has he shouted at or admonished a non-Hispanic white player at any point of his Major League career? I'd be delighted if someone could find an instance in which he has done so.
(Asking for a friend): I am a Chicago Cubs fan living in NC, which means that I don't fall within the blackout restrictions put in place by mlb.tv. The league blacks out games that fall in the "home area" of a team; for NC, those are Atlanta, Cincinnati, Baltimore, and Washington. ATL and CIN are not a problem, because those games are shown on local cable; however, the other 2 are not. Anyone know of a way around this? I have Preferred TV cable package w/Time Warner (only choice in my area). Would rather not have cable at all. Thanks.
I'm English. I have lived in the US since 2009. I am a big baseball and football fan. I know quite a bit about my teams and the seasons I've seen since moving here but nothing before that. [more inside]
I'm interested in finding a site / YouTube channel / similar portal that shows only the "action" portion of sporting events. For example, a Youtube channel that would edit out all of the footage from NFL games, showing only the time when the clock was running. MLB has clips of key pitches/hits on their site (as does the NFL), but not the whole game from what I can find. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a full game trimmd down to only the "action"?
Haven't owned a TV ever since I got a projector, but now that I'm back in the US I'd like to catch Oakland A's games on local broadcast. How to do this as cheaply as possible? [more inside]
Hi MeFi, A friend is trying to find a bar/place in Boston that is playing the A's game (or is an Oakland A's bar)...I know, I know...most are just playing the Red Sox, but you are all the intelligentsia of what's around, so figured I'd ask you! Thanks a lot!
