My questions are:
1. Does anyone else have experience of getting a shared ownership mortgage in the UK? If so who was your mortgage provider?
2. Is it worth paying an IFA £350 to arrange a mortgage if the number of lenders is limited and I can speak to them directly? What else do IFAs do for their money?
I'm struggling to find out who provides this type of mortgage - for more info see below.

Daughter is possibly moving to London and will need to rent a 1 bedroom flat in a good neighborhood. What should she expect to pay per month? Where is a good place to find a list of flats that are available to rent? Will it hard to find a place that will accept cats?

I'm in Madrid this semester, and would like to pick up an old rangefinder camera (film) or similar for around 20 euros. Is digging around antique shops and similar my best bet? Do you know a place? Or are there actually some not-terribly-expensive used camera shops in this big pretty city? Are there secondhand shops/thrift stores at all in this town? Aware of El Rastro, tried once with no luck and will probably try again Sunday. I'll also be in London next weekend and am not opposed to buying it there if you know a place.

How has your recent experience been flying with British Airways, particularly if it was to and from the US? Is it not such a good idea to fly with them right now? BA
really hasn't been doing so well lately, so I don't imagine staff morale is all that high at the moment - and from what I've read over the internet they seem to have a particularly bad reputation for losing luggage. How were your recent flights with them?

What musicians would you consider to be
London musicians? I'm not talking about people who have merely passed through London to do a few gigs or record an album -- otherwise, you'd have to list everybody who ever recorded at Abbey Road! Instead, I'm looking for folks whose work grew out of the city's cultural scene in some real way, whether London natives like Dizzee Rascals or transplants like George Frideric Handel.
More broadly, what styles of music originated (entirely or partially) in London? I know about grime and dubstep--what others are there?

Where in London, UK did I see a "model village"-style map of the city centre? In a building near Bloomsbury, it was pretty big (something like 2x3m) and at ground level just inside a private building's glass front wall. It was astonishingly detailed, with all the buildings in a few square miles of central London represented as scale models.
