I am looking for a new career direction and am curious about UK emergency services/NHS dispatcher jobs
. I have found a little bit of information
about these sorts of jobs online, but never seen them advertised.
Have you ever done this sort of job? Can you point me towards any information? I am particularly looking for information about pathways into this sort of career, and what the work itself is like. (I already know about the sadly defunct Nee Naw
blog.) I am based in central London. Thanks!

UK (and especially London) folks, where should a returning US labor union staffer work in the UK? UK jobsearching: I'm 26, and having a tough time finding any job in London - let alone one that's a good career prospect. Do you have any pointers, and in particular, advice on how to get reliable, short-term work to cover the gaps? [more inside]

Can anyone recommend a temping/job agency in London? Also, any advice on how to approach finding a job when you're a new graduate with zero work experience (and a crummy degree) would be gratefully received. [more inside]

How do I get a summer job in London? I'd like to make a bit of extra cash before I go to uni, so I would like to get a job that lasts me up until the end of August. I have no real experience, but I am willing to do pretty much anything. So, how do I go about it?
