I am heading to London for a few days in June, and I need a hotel to which I can take my 10kg dog. Requirements: 100-200 pound a night; near, or within easy public transport to, UCL; green space nearby (for the dog). The internet does not seem very good for this, as some of the hotels that *say* they accept dogs put restrictions (like, must be under 5lbs (!)), and a lot of the information online is old or incomplete.
Does anyone know of such a hotel in London, and is certain they'll accept a 10kg dog?

My friend is headed to London for eight nights and the hotel he is staying at has Internet for $20 a day. Is there a way around that? Is there a cheap "Mi-Fi" type 3g/wifi device available without a plan, or other tricks to leverage prepaid 3g for his and his wife's laptops? Just a 3g sim isn't enough as they will really need laptop wifi access.

I've just booked an international trip with a 3/4-day layover on the way home. Great, I think, I can spend some time in the city, get a cheap hotel, see a few friends for dinner and then get some sleep and a shower before my trip home - easy! Problem: after booking the trip, I realize I will be in London during the Olympics, and hotel prices have accordingly skyrocketed. I am on a grad student budget. Help me find a decent place to stay - ideally not in a shared room - that won't kill my budget?

Anyone know a cheap, clean hotel or B & B in London? Looking for something in the £25 a night range. All of the big chain hotels are so expensive and I only need a bed for the night and a shower in the morning.

I'm visiting London in early March and I was wondering if anyone knew any cheap bed only accomodation (under £40) with access for The Shakespeare Globe and Tate Britain. I'll be going Wed/Thurs. I've checked some accomodation websites but they were all a pain to use.
