I like to drink, but I don't like alcohol. Or at least the taste of it. I never have, but lately, I haven't been able to drink much at all. I can detect even small amounts and have been known to grimace when drinking even a wimpy drink. But I love to party, and as a big guy, it takes a lot to get me drunk. I know that there are no carbs in hard liquor (gin, vodka, etc), but why? I've been told that the carbs are burnt off in the distilling process, but I'd like to know exactly how that occurs. Weblinks are helpful.
