Next March My girlfriend and I are planning a road trip from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City by way of some of the national parks between. The plan is to rent a camper in Vegas and drop it off in Salt Lake City at the end. I've looked, and there's dozens of companies who rent campers. Are there any companies that people can recommend in particular? Any to avoid? Thanks in advance. [more inside]
I'm may need to relocate soon to Las Vegas. I've never been there. I'm going to rent initially, maybe buy eventually. I need to narrow down my search areas, figure out where to look. More inside for my criteria. [more inside]
I am moving to Las Vegas before the end of the year, and I'm looking for work. I'm a cartoonist/illustrator/visual story teller. I've applied for a few casino, and mobile gaming jobs, but have had no luck so far. I suspect that one of the primary sticking points is that I don't have industry experience, which is a qualification on every posting. I have spent most of my professional life in the production side of art, and now I'm trying to move into a more creative area. There are similar aspects, but it's not a 1:1 parallel. Is there a way to get this kind of experience, or comparable experience I might already have?
We are driving from Seattle to Las Vegas in early September. I'm looking for sights along the way and places to stay - unique or just a hotel but no camping. [more inside]
I'm leaving at 10am tomorrow from Waltham, MA and driving to Las Vegas. Stressing over the weather. I plan on taking it slow...driving maybe 8-9 hours a day and not at all after dark. I've never driven in bad weather so I'm really nervous. If I take Northern route I'll be in snow in Denver and if I take Southern route there are severe thunderstorms (and poss tornadoes?) in OK and TX by Wed. and Thurs. I'm driving alone and this is my first road trip. BTW I have a Nissan Rogue that will be packed full. Looking for advice planning route home...details appreciated! Thanks!
I'll be in Las Vegas for a conference this summer, and am trying to figure out what my best options are for lodging. I'll have a fair bit of time for fun stuff, and I can't decide whether it's wiser to stay right next to the Convention Center and cab it to the strip/Fremont, or whether it makes more sense to stay on the strip and cab it to the conference (I'm also open to walking, depending on weather/exhaustion levels). I'm also not sure which way would be most beneficial traffic-wise, going into or out of the strip. If you've done this before, which option would you recommend, and are there any particular hotels I should look into?
We'll be going to Las Vegas for a long weekend next week and I'm looking for suggestions that are a little more off the beaten track. Some things I've found on Yelp so far that fit the profile, Drink and Drag bowling, Grouchy John's Coffee Shop, Freakin' Frog. [more inside]

I'm moving to Las Vegas for a few years. I have a lot of experience living in tourist towns and dens of vice, but I've never lived in the desert. (I've been more of an ocean person.) Tell me what I need to know to get up to speed as a local in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the desert. What, from a local's point of view, separates Las Vegas from other cities? What did you wish someone had told you before you moved there? [more inside]
Where can I buy a glass pipe on or near the main Las Vegas strip? I am in the middle, near Bally's.
We watch some fascinatingly crappy reality TV shows in my household, but nothing as fascinatingly crappy as the show "Sister Wives" - the one that follows a polygamist family. This season, the family is building and moving into brand new houses in Las Vegas, one of each wife, and I'm curious about how the process worked. [more inside]

I have never been to Las Vegas but will be going for the first time this summer as a bridesmaid for my friend's bachelorette party. I am not a Vegas person: I don't drink or club, I don't like being around lots of people all the time, my budget is extremely tight, and crashing at the yucky hotel we're staying at sets off all my buttons in every way. Am I going to be able to realistically make this happen, or do I need to figure out a way to bail now? [more inside]
Mixed bag of USA travel questions! Feed me for one night in Vegas. Tell me cool things to do and eat in Seattle and Portland (anything special on while I'm there?). Anything I should shop for because it is way cheaper than Australia (everything?!), not available in Australia and is a must have, or lets me take advantage of having US IP address (e.g. Kindle subscriptions)? T-mobile deal for my phone? [more inside]

I have to go down to Las Vegas for a tradeshow at the Wynn, but the first two days I have a LOT of downtime. There's not a lot I'm interested seeing in Las Vegas, but I do have a fair amount of work I need to get done. Is there a nice or interesting place to squat and get work done? The Las Vegas equivalent of a nice coffee shop for remote workers? [more inside]

Heading from Las Vegas to Denton, Texas, starting tomorrow with my vegan friend. Where should we eat...here, Texas and along the way?
We are staying at an off-strip suites hotel in Las Vegas. Found bed bugs after our first night, and after an initially good response, we're concerned we're going to get the run-around from the hotel. Additional complications with pregnancy and chemicals mean that we need to be sure we're bug free without poisoning our little one, but I don't think the hotel has the same priorities... Hi all! A really good friend of mine is looking for a psychiatrist out here in Las Vegas, Nv. She's had bad experiences with them in the past, and the one good one she found ended up retiring some time ago. She's currently on foreign medication and wants to transition to US drugs, so wants to find a new doc to help with figuring out what she should be on, etc (basically, high anxiety issues and some other things, but a lot of it stemming from some really rough events in her past). Any recommendations?

So long, sentimentality -- I'm doing Christmas in Las Vegas this year. To that end I am researching places to have dinner on Christmas Day, maybe something traditional-ish and medium-high in price. Any suggestions? Are most restaurants open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? Will I need reservations? Lay your holiday Vegas anecdotes on me!
