So I recently managed to score a job interview and offer with a company that offers very nice benefits and pay better than I've seen before.
The problem is this: I realized yesterday or so that my resume stated that I graduated with honors when in fact I did not. [more inside]

Help my friend not be misperceived so that she can get a job!
My friend is super smart, very industrious, a wonderful team member but... makes faces and has a certain demeanor that makes people think that she has, as one person put it, "an attitude problem."
This label is TOTALLY NOT deserved, but I do understand why people might get this impression.
What can she do to ensure that she comes off as more "likable" in a job interview? [more inside]

(Job interview filter) A friend of mine has been shortlisted for a job interview for a major european consulting company. There are 5 candidates in total and in the beginning they will participate in a group interview. The first part of it requires each candidate to introduce themselves - the time limit for this introduction is 5 min, they will have a laptop, a paper chart and a projector at their disposal.
Any ideas for a creative introduction? Anyone ever participated or evaluated something like this? Should my friend stick to discussing only his professinal life or can he throw in some of the private e.g. where he grew up, what his hobbies are, etc. Any ideas and tips will be appreciated.

I have a job interview tomorrow. The position is a supervisor in a public service government job. I know that they will ask me about my experience hiring new employees, of which I have none. Does anyone have any advice on how I can convince them that I am capable of hiring people although I have never actually done it? What would be a smart thing to say if the topic should come up?

So I'm going to be interviewing with a major Internet company in California sometime within the next few weeks, and I'm excited, but also scared to death. I've heard that several of the "big name" companies have very rigorous interviewing processes, and I've done a ton of Googling on the subject, but only seem to find information relevant to interviewing at Microsoft (which I'm not). Certainly some of you have who read MeFi have been through this a few times. What should I expect? How can I best prepare? HELP! [more inside]

Ridiculous Job-Interview Filter: We have a new person coming on my team at work. He's actually been filling in for someone (as a project manager) for a couple months and doing a great job. Due to HR formalities, we had to post the formal job opening for a week. No other people submitted for the job, and he doesn't have to interview to get hired, but he doesn't know that. We've decided to 'initiate' him with a stressful interview... (more inside) [more inside]
