Is there a Bob Ross of coding? I'm looking for a particular style of educational video which shows developers working through problems. It should include a voice over describing what they are trying to accomplish. It should also show the types of decisions they are making as they work through the problem. [more inside]

I am in love with the zoom-in dialog box used for the video demo on the Firefox 3.5 'what's new' screen. Is there a cross-browser equivalent? I know about various 'lightbox' scripts, but this zoom thing is new to me.

Sites like Youtube, Vimeo, Blip, etc, all offer code to allow you to embed their videos in your own site, right? But why is that code invariably HTML, and not Javascript? [more inside]

What's the most effective and broadly compatible way to swap embedded Quicktime movies on a web page? I've written my own JavaScript to do so, but it doesn't work on certain (a minority of) browsers, and it's a bit slow. Does anyone have experience doing this? [more inside]
