Looking for an iOS app that will let me set up a table (of dice scores and results), then roll on that table by pushing a button. For example, I might set up a table 'FOO': 1-2 = A, 3-4 = B, 5-6 = C. I could then push the FOO button, and it'd roll a d6 and give me A, B or C. Does this sort of thing exist?
I lost my iTunes installation in a hard drive crash. I have a backup from many months ago. I have an iPad and iPhone that have never been synced to iTunes because I got them since the hard drive failure. I'd like to re-install iTunes from the backup and sync my iPad and iPhone to the re-installed iTunes without losing any data or re-installing apps. How would I do that? [more inside]
Everyone seems to have a different opinion about best practice for charging iPads and iPods in the car. Two guys at best buy just told me exactly opposite things! I am writing some documentation for an app that runs on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. I need a consistant way to refer to these devices and am looking for something better than "iPhone/iPod/iPad". For example: "Hold your iPhone/iPod/iPad's camera so that the QR code is centered in the brackets." I've come up with either "... iPhone/iPod/iPad (referred to as iPhone from here on)" or "IOS device" Anyone have a better idea?
I have an iPad 2, a Sandisk mp3 player and about three ipods floating around my house. I also have a Sony ICF-m1000 table radio. When I plug my iPad into the AUX input on the table radio, it's not nearly loud enough. How can I cheaply amplify the audio from my I-devices so they sound good on the Sony radio? [more inside]

How much could go wrong by letting some random guy try to unlock my AT&T iphone for use with Tmobile?
Could I potentially ruin my Iphone (which I love) if I take it to some guy suggested by T-Mobile to get it unlocked because AT&T won't give me the unlock code. [more inside]
Decent iPad/iPod cables? iPad and iPod usb cables infuriate me. The cables invariably fray at the connector junction, and the cable coating on several has simply disintegrated. Is there anywhere I can get solid iStuff cables that won't need replaced every 3 months? Preferably with some sort of reinforcement at the connector junctions? An Amazon search just gives me miles of what I presume is junk.
I have 300gb of music, a house, several Mac laptops, a Mac G5, a router, two iphones, an ipad, and several external HDs where the music is stored. I would like to be able to play music anywhere in my house, control it wirelessly without the laptops and update libraries as well as all my devices with whatever I like anywhere in the house, without having to drag out the external USB HD to plug into various laptops like I do now. I'm willing to buy equipment to let this happen. Bonus if it lets me move movies onto a USB stick to plug into my nifty new tv. Details under the fold. [more inside]

Can you recommend a calendar/to-do app for the iPod Touch or the iPad? I want to be able to schedule events in my calendar, but I also want to be able to specify a list of tasks within each event that can be crossed out as they are done. I don't care about reminders or syncing. [more inside]

How do I quickly sync all the application data on my iPod touch? Currently, I have to open every single app, wait for it to finish downloading content and then move onto the next app. As I find more and more cool apps, this is taking longer. Is there a way (possibly by hooking it up to my computer) to issue one command and have every application of mine download new data off the web for offline reading? [more inside]

When you open an app, what is the first thing the app shows you - is it: A. a full screen that says NAME OF APPLICATION and then you tap to see your first options, or B. those options are presented on the very first screen that you see? Which one is the most common?
