In search of a decent, relatively small camera to use for research and traveling, preferably under 500 bucks. I don't really want a DSLR, because I used to travel with an SLR and a massive lens and I don't want to deal with it now (nor do I really need it.) Is this or this enough camera? Would this be too much camera? Or this? [more inside]

I'm looking for a robust mac program to rip ISO images from DVDs. I have some discs that have minor scratches; while they play fine (with minor skips) in DVD Player, the ripping programs I have tried so far give me an error message and abort when they encounter these spots on the disc. I've tried both the disc image function in Disk Utility as well as Disco. Are there other (free) programs that will be less easily panicked?

How can I install Windows 7 (via Boot Camp or rEFIt) from an ISO? I think the Superdrive on my Macbook Pro (10.5.6) is on its last legs, because it ejects almost anything I put in it. (Meaning blank DVDs, and the DVD I burned of the ISO on my Windows XP desktop with ImgBurn). It's not extremely old (I got it refurbished on Christmas 2007), but still old enough to be out of warranty (at least I would think so). What I have available: 1tb My Book Firewire External Hard Drive 4gb 1st gen iPod Nano, that isn't even formatted as an iPod right now, so it's basically just a 4gb USB flash drive.
