I'm trying to remember the name of a piece of Interactive Fiction (IF) I once played, but remember almost nothing about. You start the game, sleeping next to your lover--and you can decide the gender of both your character and the lover--in what is essentially a hunting lodge. Your character can do something like shift into other times or other identities--I can't quite remember. I recall that it is supposed to be very long by normal IF standards. Any help?

Interactive Fiction question. I want to write a short (~2 hour) piece of interactive fiction, but I want it to be a stand-alone file or able to be integrated/hosted on a website when done. (Simply put, I don't want people to have to download anything more than a single file to play it, or, ideally, to do anything other than play it directly in a website.) What's the easiest way to do this? (I'm using Inform 7, but would be happy to use something else if needed.)

I've got an Excel spreadsheet with numbers ranging from 2,000 to 600,000. I want Excel to look at each cell and essentially categorize all of those into five categories in a new column. If the value is less than 10,000, I want Excel to give it a 1, if the value is between 10,000 and 50,000 I want it to be 2, if the value is between 50,000 and 100,000, I want it to return 3, if it's between 100,000 and 500,000, I want a 4, and if it's above 500,000, I want a 5.
I tried the IF function, but I can't figure out how to a) make it recognize multiple variables, and b) I don't know how to tell it to look for numbers within a range. The Excel help section about arrays and lookups is fairly mystifying. Anyone got an idea?
(I know I could sort the data and do this manually, but I'd like to learn how to do this Excel's way.) Thank you!

Based on yesterday's discussion about
celebrities who give offense by their wardrobe choices and malfunctions, I am left wondering about the "apologies" that are issued. Since when is it an apology to say "Sorry
if I offended anyone..." instead of "I apologize
for causing offense..."? What would ettiquette demand? How should they issue their apologies? Does the "if" even mean they believe they did something wrong or is it a trick to make people drop the topic?
