CSS Positioning and IE6 is making me cry - Working on a freelance project as a favor for my sister-in-law, and I'm having an issue with the display in IE6. (Looks great in IE7 and Firefox) As you can see, the main content on the right is appearing below the menu on the left, instead of alongside it. Any ideas? [more inside]

I use IE6 (6.0.2800.1106) on three different identical Windows 2000 systems. I recently installed tabbed browsing on one (with no change to version number). On the non-tabbed systems, when I open a new window, the new window opens a quarter inch to the right of the previous window. On the tabbed system, new IE6 windows open a quarter inch to the right AND a quarter inch down from the previous window. I don't like this behavior, but can't figure out how to disable or correct it. This occurs only for new IE6 windows, not new windows in other applications.
How can I tell IE6 to open new windows to the right but NOT also moving down at the same time?

How much work will it take me to change from IE6 to Firefox? Looking at the list of problems in AMF, should a person not highly computer literate make the change? I use XP and have MS office installed and am now learning to write web pages -- CSS, HTML, Java.. Thanks in advance for your advice.

IE CSS Bug #65536: This page works fine in a real browser, but breaks in IE6. The boxes containing "Article 1" and "Article 2" should be to the right of the menu, but instead the text wraps around, and the black border stretches out as if the menu wasn't there. Please hope me. Here's the CSS.

How can I download Internet Explorer 6 as a single file for installation on another computer (running Windows 2000)? This page only seems to give the me the option of downloading a small install program but I still need to be online to actually install the whole thing. My Win2000 machine has IE 5.5 and I'm having trouble getting online.

I use a whole bunch of PC's - three mainly, my laptop at work, and a desktop and laptop at home...I'd like to find a way of keeping my favorites synchronised on all three OR keeping them all in one place on the web and being able to access them...oh, and I'd like the solution to be 'free' and look cool...(is there an easy way to harvest the 500 favorites on my work laptop - and turn them into a web page?)
I use IE6 on all of my PC's....but some web based solution would allow me to access all my links from other machines/browsers.

I've got some kind of adware on IE 6.0 that is putting hot links on MetaFilter and other pages for certain keywords, like "Photoshop" or "diamonds". The links lead to search engine websites. It is really gumming up the works. I've tried Spybot but that didn't remove it. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

PNG and IE6. I seem to recall reading about an active x plugin that enabled IE5.5+ on PC to properly support alpha transparency in png files. After googling, I couldn't find one. I did find lots of work arounds and hacks that are ugly and difficult to implement. There must be a solution.
