I've been using Hotmail for ages and I have a bunch of important emails going back two years which I need to organise and print out. Hotmail isn't very good at opening up multiple emails or printing them out so I'd like to download them to my macbook. They are currently sitting in their own folder in my Hotmail account. How do I download this folder and what software should I use?

How do I set up my iPad for video chatting with Hotmail? I just recently reconnected with some former deaf students of mine, after about 25 years (thank you, Facebook). We have been communicating by email but written language is not optimal. One of my former students has asked that I video chat with him via Hotmail. I have created Hotmail account, now what? I'd like to be able to do this directly through my iPad, as well as by connecting my iPad to a PC and using it as a webcam. Also any tips for placement of the iPad for use while signing would be appreciated.

I got a spam email from my friend who has a hotmail account. It looks like the spam has been sent to everyone in his hotmail distribution list. My question is, how did the hackers do this? Did they need his password in order to get access to his distribution list? As far as I know he is still able to use his account which puzzles me. Wouldn't a hacker (if he had the password) quickly change the password so that they could keep sending spam out on that account?

Hotmail on Blackberry (Bold 9700) driving me crazy; I'd either like to have it as an account that doesn't mix with my Outlook account (seems impossible) or I'd like to access it through my brower *without having to log in every time.* Are either of these possible?

PasswordBuffooneryFilter: I've had a Hotmail account for eons, don't use it a ton, get a couple things sent there on an ongoing basis. Had the password stored via Firefox and it has disappeared from the remember-password feature. It's been long enough that I don't remember the password-recovery info (favorite pet, etc.) and I didn't register an alternate e-mail (that they would use to send me the means to access the account). Based on the Microsoft info I've slogged through and Internet searches, it seems I'm sunk. Or am I?? Much gratitude for any help folks can provide.

Hotmail question: I do not want to permanently delete any email from my Deleted folder, yet it appears that the Deleted folder is keeping things for only five days, then removing them. For example, yesterday my Deleted folder contained emails from as early as 1 October, and today the oldest one is 2 October. How do I tell Hotmail to stop removing items from my Deleted folder? I want them for archiving's sake (and no, I'm not using Outlook).

I’m hoping that someone can provide me with some email tips, specifically for a Hotmail user.
The main problem I’ve been having is finding a streamlined solution for all of my email accounts. Here’s my current setup/status:
- 1 hotmail account (my main application)
- 2 gmail accounts (used mainly for online sign ups and the like)
- 1 work email account
- 1 account through my ISP (time warner – roadrunner)
- Multiple site accounts at joelneuenhaus.com
- To wrap it all up, I use MS Outlook 2003 (work is accessed directly through an Outlook POP3 setup; my website accounts are forwarded to gmail and gmail is forwarded to hotmail; my ISP account is accessed via POP mail retrieval in Hotmail – a real pain – finally Hotmail is accessed through an Outlook HTML account)

I am working on an application that will send an html-newsletter. It looks great in thunderbird or Outlook, and like crap in Gmail or Hotmail, which a lot of the recipients use. The template uses css, which is included in the headers of the message (not linked).
What is the common wisdom about html-email that looks good in Hotmail and Gmail? Is there any way to keep the CSS or do I have to start over from scratch?

Despite plenty of googling, and even email with Microsoft's support - I cannot seem to solve my problem. I'm wondering if perhaps any of my fellow geeks have had this problem:
I run a web/email server of my own, colocated in a highly reputable facility. For some reason, Hotmail views any email coming from my box as spam, and tosses it in a junk folder. I've done all the checks to make sure I don't have an open spam relay problem, etc. I've checked all the blacklists I can think of -- I'm not on any of them.

When I try to log into hotmail, I get this error: "The operation timed out when attempting to contact..." This has been going on for a week. Yet my husband can get into his hotmail account just fine. I've tried logging in using Firefox and IE, but I get the error in both browsers. I've tried on my desktop and my laptop. Neither works. My husband can get into his hotmail using any browser and any PC. What gives? Does hotmail have a vendetta against me?
