ForgottenSongFilter: I am trying to help a friend recall a song, with dismal results (so far). All we know is that it is a hip hop/R&B/radio-pop type song, likely from the mid-1990s, with a female vocal in the chorus. The chorus is something along the lines of "This is the..." with a spelled out phrase following that, likely beginning with the letter L. There may or may not be "party sounds" in the background. HELP!?!

I had to replace my cool rustic desk for a standard, boring, corporate-drone desk today. The new desk has a much larger workspace and honestly doesn't look too bad but it has no personality. What can I do to make it more...hip? Here it is. Go nuts. [more inside]

Who is the woman sampled speaking on NWA's "Gangsta Gangsta"? She says "hopin' you sophisticated motherfuckers here what I have to say", "he'll fuck up you and yours - and anything that gets in his way", and "he'll just call you a lowlife motherfucker and talk about your funky ways."

I've been having moderate hip pain for the last two days, and I'm not sure what caused it. Either way, I was wondering if the hive mind could suggest some good hip stretches or exercises that might help alleviate the pain, or at least keep it from getting worse. Thanks!

Does anyone know of a version of "Baby It's Cold Outside" or "Let It Snow" or "Winter Wonderland" or any other non-denominational holiday song that has been remade so that it's upbeat? A cool electronic or hip hop remix would be awesome. It's important that it's upbeat and not slow and mellow like the originals are usually sung.

I've got a 41-year-old friend with a degenerative hip condition who's considering prolotherapy to avoid or put off a hip replacement. The only info I can find on the Web about this treatment suggests quackery or inconclusive studies. Anybody have experience with prolotherapy, for good or ill?

Does this song sound familiar: it was played on XM radio's uncensored hip-hop/rap station- it's essentially a narrative which repeats the phrase/theme "you don't know what it was like to. . ." (e.g., one line was "be a slave in the south"), and the chorus/hook basically repeats something to the effect of clap your hands/stomp your feet. I could have sworn the DJ said it was by "Southern Folks" and called "Crunkified," but after googling these phrases to no avail, I think those must have been more general descriptive terms. It has a very traditional sound/structure, almost gospel-sounding (and none of the more obvious super-slowed down "crunk" sound).

Does anyone know any group teachers for club dance in Los Angeles. I'm tired of moving like a white guy on the floor. Basically I've never been a good club dancer and it's kept me from going to clubs. I've decided to do something about it. But I don't want to take individual lessons. For one thing, it'd just be too weird dancing with some teacher one on one. For another I've got nowhere in my apt for them to teach me. (I live in a studio).
So what I want is somewhere in LA that kind of teaches a group 101 on "how to not look spastic on the dancefloor." Any suggestions?
