YANMD. I am seeing a doctor, but don't have an appointment for a follow up until Wednesday. I can't figure out why I'm feeling so ill. [more inside]

YANMD. You may not even be a doctor. I was out on a 10 mile run this morning; at the end of the run, I realized that I had blood dripping down both my legs, stemming from a mole on my inner left thigh. [more inside]
Now that WeEndure is going away, I need somewhere to track my exercise. There are a number of places that have biking and running, but not swimming. I'd prefer simpler to the more complex sites like MapMyRun (which, again, doesn't do swimming, from what I can see). I have seen this and wondered what things are out there, four years later. Bonus: a place that I can dump all my WeEndure data into so I hit the ground running. [more inside]
I like running and swimming, and try to do about half an hour of each at least three or four times a week. Now I've started weight training three times a week as well. Should I reduce the cardio if I want to gain muscle faster? I'm a naturally skinny ectomorph that has a hard time putting on mass.

I started running last October and I've lost 30 lbs. Along with this though I've noticed many other body changes. There are two in particular that I am interested in. The veins in my hands and feet are more defined and my elbows are no longer ashy. Is there any kind of relationship between these two changes and my new running lifestyle? Not sure if this makes a difference or not but I've also cut out all fast food, soft drinks, junk food and I'm eating healthy balanced meals now.

I took a month off from my running routine before running again. 5 days later this muscle stiffness feeling has not gone away. It's painful enough that it hurts to walk, especially down stairs. What is this? [more inside]
I've recently started long distance running (5 months). I purchased a pair of running shoes two months ago and I've noticed that my left shoe is rubbing the back of my achilles tendon. Does anyone know of any type of product that will cushion the back of my running shoe and prevent it from rubbing against my tendon in this way? I can still run at the moment but there is some strong soreness where that part of the shoe hits the back of my foot. [more inside]
I just finished a 10 mile race, now I want to train for a 10K race in 6 weeks. What kind of training program should I follow? How can I best make the transition to the shorter distance without losing any of the hard-won fitness I earned while training for the 10-miler?
I get pretty nasty pains in my chest when I run. Is this normal, and does it go away? [more inside]

Recently, I began running regularly for the first time in many, many years. But it seems like I only have two modes: running and walking with no levels in between. How can I train to keep a more consistent pace so that I can achieve a quicker mile and get a better workout? [more inside]

All my life I've had this problem when doing any sort of cardio activity: my throat can stand my breathing for about 15 seconds before it starts to burn like hell. I've tried breathing differently, asking for medical advice, drinking various beverages before/during/after working out... nothing. It's happened when I've been in better shape and when I'm a lazy slob. So I avoid cardio, which I have always desperately needed. How can I overcome this and work out pain-free? [more inside]

A couple of months ago my big toenail went black after a run. Maybe 10-15 days ago it came loose, but only on one side. Since the other side was still anchored I cut off the flapping half. Nothing's happened since then. Please advise. [more inside]

I think I have the flu. Should I stay in bed or run 5K?
I am in pretty decent shape (nothing amazing, but 5' 7" and 138 pounds which is normal) but find that I can't do much of ANY running without feeling horribly, horribly nauseated within minutes of finishing. I can lift and do pushups, squats, etc., but running is basically out of the question. Sometimes it's so bad I have to stop even though it's rarely more than 10 minutes. Since I'm not unhealthy or overweight, I'm pretty concerned about this. Why does running, in particular, make me feel so awful? Does this happen to anyone else? Should I be trying to push through it?
Why do I always burp or feel like I have to burp when I go running? This happens even if it has been several hours since I last ate. It doesn't happen every single time, but probably 80% of the time. I like running, its just gross getting a taste of that yogurt you ate 2 hours ago when its 100 degrees outside. Anyone have similar problems? Anything you can do to solve this?
