Time Travel With An Insulin Pump

My wife, who has had an insulin pump for almost 18 years, has somehow never traveled more than one time zone with it. Next week she has 5 day business trip to the West Coast, and we live on the East Coast. Any diabetic MeFi's have experience crossing 3 time zones with a pump? [more inside]

hypoglycemia, hypothermia or both?

I have unmanaged type 2 diabetes. in the last 2 weeks i have had 2 episodes of what i would call mild hypothermia (shivering, chattering teeth, etc) is this the same shaking that is linked to hypoglycemia or is it directly related to the cold? [more inside]

I have Type 2 diabetes. I have a Mac. Does anyone know of blood glucose meter that will work with a Mac application, where I can download the reading from the meter into the software. Hopefully, the software would export this data into a non proprietary format.
