I have a hand-me-down Intel server running Windows XP Pro... most of the time. Once or twice a day it locks up completely and without warning. Connected peripherals go dark but the screen stays frozen. I'm not a hardware guy; is there some free/cheap software to monitor the hardware & OS and tell me what's causing this?

We need to install a hanging system on our conference room wall that will allow us to easily swap paper items of various sizes and thicknesses (posters, printer proofs, regular ol' paper). The space is about 4 feet wide.
Does anyone have any experience with this thing? Hangman Products Clip-it Strip
Reminds me of the strips that were installed at the top of chalkboards in grade school. It seems like they were never strong enough and teachers struggled to keep things in there.
Any other product recommendations?

PC performance issues. 1) Is it a good idea to fill up all 3 of my DIMM slots, when my motherboard manual says that the max speed will be DDR 200 instead of DDR 400? The motherboard is an ASUS K8V SE Deluxe.
2) How do I best identify the bottlenecked hardware component that's causing framerate jerkiness e.g. when playing Oblivion (e.g. RAM, processor, AGP card)?

Recently (and I know its obnoxious to not be able to pin it down to a single event), I've been having an issue where my Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer USB (It's optical) will freeze up for a few seconds and then start working. It seems that my XP machine thinks it is being disconnected, as I heard the sound cue for hardware being removed, and then 5 seconds later the re-connection sound.
The thing is, I've had this issue before, and I believe it was resolved with a registry hack, or uninstalling a bit of software, I just can't for the life of me remember which.
