Is this large lab centrifuge capable of spinning? How can I check without a rotor attachment?

Is there any way to find out if the "spin functionality" of a large laboratory centrifuge is operational when said centrifuge was purchased secondhand and did not come with any rotor attachments? [more inside]

Finding a Filco Majestouch keyboard

How can I try out a Filco Majestouch keyboard? Inspired by an earlier question today, I looked it up on the web, but most of what I could find was Japan-centered. Any ideas about how I could find one to try, or even to order? I'm in the US (Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina).

Scanner Repair

I just acquired a scanner that was destined for the dump. THe only thing wrong with it is that the glass is fogged on the interior of the scanner. I would think that opening it and cleaning it would be fairly straight forward, and am wondering if anyone has had an experience to suggest this is a none trivial operation. [more inside]
