You are learning HTML on the internet via a set of instructional videos. What do you expect to be taught? How do you expect to be taught it? What useless things do you hope will be left out? What great things do you hope are included?

Are there still good reasons not to send HTML-formatted e-mail? I know that for years it was considered bad netiquette to send HTML-formatted e-mail (especially if you were sending e-mail to someone new and you weren't sure if his or her e-mail client supported HTML). I'm starting to wonder, though, whether those 90s-era precautions are still as applicable today. (This would be for regular day-to-day e-mail—not bulk e-mail or the like.)

Can you help me with this HTML print-sizing problem? I have a 3x5 index card created in Word. When I convert it to PDF, it prints out full size, as in Word. But when I convert to HTML, either from Word or from the PDF, and then print the HTML page, it scales down. Is there a way to make it print full-size in HTML?

I use a CMS which needs domain.com/index.php/template/filename in order to work. I used to have an htaccess file which would make domain.com/template/filename work fine (ie, it would load the correct page even without the index.php there). Dreamhost recently upgraded its software and the htaccess file no longer works. Is there a solution for this problem?
