I need to send a link in an email which on the other end will create a favourite in in the recipients IE. I've googled around this and found lots of resources on adding a favourite from a website but they all seem to assume the recipient is on the right page already. I'm using Outlook 2007 if it's relevant.
(Bit dull as a question I know but I've been wrestling with this all morning)

I'm writing a shell script to take a webpage and convert it into a text file. I'd appreciate tips as to how to store URLs, save the file with the URL's title as its name, and also just general tips as to how to improve the script and/or achieve the process better. Specific questions inside.

Is there a Firefox extension — preferably a Firefox 2 extension — that will alter Firefox's copying behavior so that, when you copy something, it is copied to the clipboard (or pasted from the clipboard) as its HTML, instead of plain text?

MakeMyPhotosClickableFilter:
I have a list of URLs that is about 2000 long. The problem is that none of them begin with http:// and are therefore not "clickable." I need to post this list on my website and allow people to click on the links, rather than cut n paste and have them add the http:// ..... What method could I use to add the http:// and make it "clickable" without actually typing it into each url one-by-one (which would take me forever). Examples of the URLs are below (they are non-working, I just made them up - but are similar to the long list I have).....

Is there *anything* I could use, paste my list into, etc. that would automatically make them clickable?

Can someone give this HTML idiot an answer in plain English. I don't understand the responses on similar topics that are already on this site! Is there some way - preferably on BBEdit on the Mac - of automatically converting every instance of http://www.whateverurl.com in my html file into properly anchored code, ie:
http://www.whateverurl.com?

HTML crisis: I use relative URLS on my blog because pages archive in different files- for example, a tag for a JPEG would be /images/image.jpg inside image tags. Because I use that first slash to make the relative URL work, all image tags are broken when you type or link to my site without a "www" in the url. In other words, "www.mysite.com" shows all the images fine, but "mysite.com" loads the site with little red x's everywhere. Solution?
