I accidentally deleted an important project yesterday that's due today. I deleted an 'unused' folder, but forgot that my files were set to save to that folder instead of to their appropriate locations. As a result, I lost pretty much everything. I cleared the recycle bin yesterday as well, thinking the folder was empty! I'm on a Mac OS X. Is there anyway to get these back without paying $100 for file recovery software? I'm starting college tomorrow, and I have a problem. If I have to sit through a long talk (class, lecture, church, doesn't matter what) I'll start falling asleep. It usually happens around ten minutes into it, regardless of how much sleep I've had the night before. I've tried going to bed earlier, sleeping longer, pinching myself and drinking water through classes. I don't drink caffeine in the morning, so I know it's not a crash. I'm trying to figure out my options for setting up a small digital media lab for a new non-profit, but I have no idea how to set a minimum level of server specs! How much CPU and RAM do I really need? What determines this? The server will be used to administer local user accounts, and store files (including large media files). We may also end up using it to host our website and mail, if it makes sense (unlikely). All the main client computers will be macs, so I assume I should make life easier and just get an XServe. I've been trying to get under a certain weight for weeks. I'm looking for a new watch. My current watch is a Lorus Fusion 7T92-X001 as pictured here, and I'm very happy with the look of it (its a lot more silver looking than that picture implies). Mostly it seems to have an organic flow to the look of it which I like, its not chunky or anything like that. However all the knobs have stopped working, I can't change the date/time, the pins keep breaking, and the cost to repair seems inordinately high, perhaps its time for a new watch.
