My phone was stolen. I have video of them from the store we were both in when it was taken. I also have a Google Map that tracked the phone to an address within 20 meters. The account has been deactivated and phone has been locked but I'm told a good hacker can get in any phone. There is video on the phone that may be used in a medical malpractice case that is very important. So letting this whole thing go is not my first choice. I didn't call the theif or erase the phone but the locking process sent them another number with a request to call me. [more inside]
I want to use a Google Hangout "On Air" for a project, but a tiny limitation is getting in the way. I would like to bypass the 'Press to Talk' functionality with a tiny browser script/hack/modification. My programming knowledge is tiny, but I am sure this could be done super super simply with a script loaded in the browser. Perhaps there's better solution. Any ideas? [more inside]
How can I prevent video results from showing up in a Google search? For example, if I do a google search on "picasa os x 10.6.8 screen resolution", half the links on the first results page are youtube videos. If I want videos I can select "videos" instead of "web". But I can't figure out how to prevent videos from showing up in a regular web search. (I'm running Firefox on a MacBook Pro 10.6.8; I get the same results using Chrome.)

Has YouTube not been working for people or is it just me? [more inside]
I recently started making animated movies in flash. When I upload them to Youtube or Google video, the audio translates well but the video becomes very jerky. I assume its a byproduct of the way they compress the files, but is there a way to avoid this? [more inside]
How to create Quicktime or AVI of Google Earth flythrough? [more inside]
Audio and video are out of sync on mp4s downloaded from Google Video about 80% of the time. Is there anything simple that I can do about this? OSX, by the way, and it's mostly for watching on my iPod.
I can't download high quality .avi files from Google Video with Keepvid. Any other way to grab them? [more inside]
Google: Is there any way to see all 35k results for a search term in video.google.com instead of just the first 500 or so? At some point, clicking on the following page of results, Google yields a blank page.
HtAccessFilter: I’m seeking regular expressions to describe URLs that encompass search engines’ image and video search engines, but not the engines themselves, so that I can block said image and video search engines using “SetEnvIfNoCase Referer” in .htaccess. Also, I’m also seeking to block all incoming requests for one particular URL which is popular with these video and image search engines but which no longer exists – but I don’t want to serve them the normal 404. What is the catch for uploading to Google Video? It looks like a great place to share one's own videos, but what are the cons of posting videos there (letting Google eat all the bandwidth costs) instead of on my own site? Why not move all of one's multimedia content there?
What's the deal with the Google Video interface? More specifically, how can I grab frames from videos that aren't playable, like this funky site does? [more inside]
