How can I prevent video results from showing up in a Google search? For example, if I do a google search on "picasa os x 10.6.8 screen resolution", half the links on the first results page are youtube videos. If I want videos I can select "videos" instead of "web". But I can't figure out how to prevent videos from showing up in a regular web search. (I'm running Firefox on a MacBook Pro 10.6.8; I get the same results using Chrome.)

I recently started making animated movies in flash. When I upload them to Youtube or Google video, the audio translates well but the video becomes very jerky. I assume its a byproduct of the way they compress the files, but is there a way to avoid this? [more inside]

HtAccessFilter: I’m seeking regular expressions to describe URLs that encompass search engines’ image and video search engines, but not the engines themselves, so that I can block said image and video search engines using “SetEnvIfNoCase Referer” in .htaccess. What is the catch for uploading to Google Video? It looks like a great place to share one's own videos, but what are the cons of posting videos there (letting Google eat all the bandwidth costs) instead of on my own site? Why not move all of one's multimedia content there?
