Gmail + Thunderbird = spamfree email?
I use gmail (via google apps) for my small company's email. While it is generally good, the inability to permanently block a sender (e.g. businesses who won't remove me from their spam list) is frustrating, especially when the senders keep appearing in the daily quarantine report. Could this be solved by using Thunderbird as an IMAP client (and “whitelisting” the senders in Postini so they don't appear in the quarantine report)? Is there an easier or more elegant solution? TIA.

I have a Wordpress site. In spidering the site, and coming up with the little synopsis underneath the title, Google, Bing and Yahoo all believe that it's not a personal Web site but a spammy list of prescription drugs for sale. I don't understand why.

A while back I found a site that allowed you to search Google for products, and it would automatically add negative keywords to your search that filtered out pretty much all of those price comparison sites that seem to be all you get on Google now when you search for a product.
Only now I can't find it. Anyone?

Argh!
Gmail image spam! I'm getting 20 of these a day. Since Google has failed to filter these messages, is there a workaround I can use? Also, would simply deleting these messages rather than marking them as spam reduce the possibility of false positives?

I've found a domain name I want to acquire from its current owner, and it looks like I may be able to do so. The IP address at which the domain resides
is listed in a
spam blacklist database. If I acquire the name and give it a new IP address, I assume that particular problem goes away. What's the best place, though, to check and see if the domain name itself is widely considered to be a spam source? Should I consider the IP listing to sully the domain -- am I buying a potential
Superfund site?

I have been noticing more and more websites using Google to index their restricted content. For example,
this search (top item) brings up what is supposedly a full 30 KB paper, but visiting the
link we get a different page that goes to a login. Even the cache carries the false page. Are these websites abusing Google, or is Google permitting it and why? Why doesn't this stuff belong under the ads?

I have taken specific care not to let my gmail address fall into the hands of anybody besides people I deal with in person- friends and family and such- and after several months of having this account be spam-free, today I finally got a few. How on earth do they find me?
